Any opinions out there on the ride and dryness of a 16 vs an 18? Is the cockpit in an 18 deeper than a 16?

Many thanks!

JD, I don't know that "staying Dry" would be a characteristic I would associate with any Classic, in the 16 & 18, you are definitely more exposed than a 22. As far as ride, the longer the running surface the smoother the ride, what makes these rides so much fun is how well their hulls handle the water for their respective size, you can tell a difference from a ride in each...attend one of the many events and check them out...Good Luck...Doc

I have owned both the 16 and 18. Have to agree with Dr. Dan, the longer running surface of the 18 gives it a bettr ride. Seems to stay in the water longer. Also, the 18 doesn't have all the "hook" that the 16 has. The hook helps it get out of the hole without tabs and tends to keep the bow down at speed.

For a "better" ride the longer the length the better the ride.
