My Donzi is dated Aug. 31, '66 and is Ser. #92. Mine is a one piece engine hatch. There is another member here that has a boat with a lower number than mine and his has the three piece hatch. Look behind the dash for writing in black marker, it will be under the fiberglass and hard to read.

May I have your e-mail address or phone number? I have quite a few question to help me propperly identify the year of this Donzi.

Thanks, Phil

My 1966 2+3 was built in late '66 and is a single hatch(hull # 105).
I've never heard of a 2 piece hatch on a 2+3. And I've never heard of a triple hatch '67.

Sorry, I'm a novice and it's the only way I was to describe it as the two side hatches open out.

Philip,
If that boat is a triple hatch, it's definetley not a '71. Crawl under the dash and look for a number handwritten in magic marker, behind where the grab rail is.

The Mad Poodle man is absolutly correct.

The Donzi Corsican is the only 18 which came with a 2 piece split hatch.

Click on these 2 items and see Corsican 001 and see the 2 piece split hatch.

There is another place to look for numbers. These seem to be on boats in the mid to earily 70's. Starboard engine compartment, inner topside centered. A metal plate with stamped numbers could be glassed in with a single stroke of clear resin on top. Next big gathering I go to, I'll have to remember to bring an electronic stud finder, an see if its in more of them.

Could be a bench seat 19 foot Hornet. They had a 2 piece hatch

I concur, only the 18 Corsican had a two piece hatch.

Yup, I agree . A two hatch boat could be a Corsican. When he said 18, I automaticly thought it was a 2+3.
