Sportsman Cruiser - 7 Meter

I just came back from Florida with a 22 foot Donzi Sportsman Cruiser - 7 Meter with hull #22-66. The boat is originally from Conneticut. It's registered as a 1969 but I think it was built in 1967. She's got twin fwc Mercruiser 160's with Mercruiser 1 drives. They are GM 250 c.i inline 6's. The numbers on the engines and the drives match the I.D. sticker on the dash so it looks like they are original. The boat is in excellent condition throughout so I hope to be in the water soon. There are a few posted on the registry but they have no info or e-mail address's. If anyone has any info on this boat, I would appreciate it.

I DESIGNED IT AND BUILT THEM THROUGH 1967. YOUR MUST BE A 68 OR 69, CAUSE WE DIDN'T USE THOSE STINKING LABELS ON ANYTHING THAT I BUILT.

Hey Griz....I'd love to see the brochure you have. I have a 1967 Donzi brochure but the pictures are all renderings....no photos.
Thanks Brownie for designing a beautiful boat. Sorry you don't like the sticker they used but I'm very much grateful that it's there. Having the 'real' serial numbers for the boat, engines, and drives is a score for us authenticity freaks. Customer service at Donzi is looking up the build card for me, so with any luck I'll find out when it was built
