:D :D :D :D :D
Thank's RickR Yes it was tricky, 16th of an
inch under the rub rail, I measured it at least 10 times before I touched the drill.
The twin ram steering was the hardest thing
trying to clear the trim tabs and everything
else. The whole project was tricky! I have
300 hours of my labor in it. Lucky I work
cheep!!

Donzitester,

That Classic looks like one of the best spent 300 hours ever put together. She sure is sweeeeet. YOU ARE BRINGING HER TO LAKE CUMBERLAND NEXT MAY I HOPE!!! The horses of Kentucky need to hear that 500 Awakening. Can't wait to read the performance numbers you get.

Hey,

Just noticed the bottom work at the chine. Looks like you kind of made a tunnel there. Is that the thought behind your work or is it an optical illusion in the picture?

Wanted to attend the Eufalla gathering, but vacation time is already used up this summer. May need a day or two for that secret Florida gathering being put together and have some other things already planned for this summer.

Mr. Donzitester, how fast do you think it's going to run? please post your results after you've got it broken in. I'm sure there are many of us that would love to see. And I have to say it's the best looking classic I've ever seen. I think the detail 1st class!
by the way where can the emblem on the transom be got from? thanks, riverrat.. :D :D

HP 600SC
08-18-2001, 06:42 AM
Riverrat, Thank you! I will post the stats.
as soon as were broken in, but it will not be finished till I install the IMCO 2" shorter lower unit...probably in a month..
The logo is cut from stainless steel by water
jet from a local machine shop. It is pricey
however, about $250.00.

Even a rear view is a beautiful site, when
it is a classic Donzi or classy body!

Hey Ted,
Hydraulic steering is on my to do list for this winter. Most of the other Classics that I have seen have a single ram mounted way over on the other side of the starboard tab. I want two rams and I like your setup, because it will allow me to mount k-planes if I choose.
Question. What did you have to do custom to make your setup work? Beautiful ride, just wish it was sitting in my garage. hanks, Todd

Roadtrip2,
Thank you! I bought the latham marine
twin ram system. 7" rams are the only way to do it. Also my k-planes are the mini electric
version. Hope this help's ;)
