Saw the pic on the all Donzi post, what a beautiful boat, what are it's spec's? is it a rare boat? looks like a two seater as opposed to a 2+3. What years was it made etc.

I own an 88 Testarossa Donzi 22 2+3. The only difference is the all red gel coat. I have seen both 22 and 18 foot classics ( more 22's than 18's). I have also seen them with Mercruiser and OMC drives since it was the start of the transition. I don't know any of the production numbers, but if you see an all red 88 classic it is a Testarossa.

Maxcat, are you saying there was an 18 Tess?

There's an All Red 22 out here in Seattle that doesn't look like it's been out of it's slip in a few years....I know it's got an OMC Cobra on the back, and no winshield I believe. I may try to sneak down there and snap a couple of Pics this weekend for research's sake.....

If It's been radared at OVER 96 MPH why don't you say the speed, or does the radar only go up to 96 ???

That wasn't I-40 was it?

I'm not trying to be a butt, I would love to know that my 502/22 might could hit 90 :)

MadPoddle,

Did you GPS my 18' Classic at Cumberland? How did you know my boat does 38 MPH at 5200 RPM? ;) Thinking about entering the Lake Cumberland Poker Run, but I'd hate to make everyone wait through Saturday night to see the results of my hand. :(

Sorry Man, I'm not trying to be confrontational at all.

My 22 had a non-roller 454 mag in it and I put in a roller 502 w/huge cam and I hope I can get 74mph out of it.

In two weeks I'm going to a Radar shootout at Lake Of The Ozarks MO. I'll tell my dead nutts speed. My speedo is not worth a crap.

Please never take any offense to me, unless I've had TEQUILA !!!

99.9 % of the stuff I know about my boat is from you guys ;)

TEQUILA !!!!! don't even say that word on this board............

none taken.........come on in as you are, casual attire required. The house is big. Getting bigger everyday.

Thanks,
There is a all red 88 here for sle in Mobile, maybe that's why they are asking so much money for it because only a few were made

Formula Jr., I have only seen one 18 2+3 testarossa in my life. It was for sale in FL about five years ago. It was the original gelcoat.

Eric-

This all red 22 you speak of that hasn't been out of its slip in awhile...where is it? I think I saw one in lake Union awhile back that was all red.

I bet that was it...I saw it in the marina behind Boat World/Leib Marine last spring. My boat was moored in there when I bought it, so I stumbled upon the Red one when I was looking at mine.

I'm heading down tomorrow evening to see if I can get some pics...

Well, I went down last night to take pictures of the Seattle Red Head that hadn't left the slip for years, and guess what, it had left the slip!! Oh well, I did find a really cool Scarab III with Arneson Drives...I took a few pics of that instead...
