View Full Version : Paint ?
It seems to me there was a post a while back that touched on someone painting their engine compartment. I think they were going to use a West Marine epoxy. If anyone can recomend a paint that they have used in the engine compartment let me know. I stoped by Boat U.S. and West Marine and they both have a couple of options but I would perfer to hear from an end user.

I just used a PPG product recommended by Scott Pearson called Delta. It is a spray only finish and a full isocyinate product so a proper breathing supply is necessary. I applied the finish 2 weeks ago and let me tell you this is the hardest most durable finish I have ever seen bar none. 3 days after I painted I was installing an engine lift over the engine compartment and droped a 1/2 inch rachet with an extension and big socket on it...it didn't even chip. One other negative thing I did notice though was this it was the most difficult finish I ever have sprayed. Well worth it
