hi gang,
has anyone seen an 18 with a merc speedmaster 3 or 4?
just a thought, and can they be mounted on a bravo gimbol? Not enough dough to bolt on a surf drive yet. i am guessing with this set-up i'd have to rasie X dem up a bit

Can somebody in the know write up something definitive on Speedmasters?
There's no way to fit one of these to an Alpha or Type 1MR, however there was a thread on one fitted to a Model II.

Are you sure that is a SSIII? That looks like a SSMII which uses the TRS upper unit and transom assy.

There were some 18's in the 70's that ran the SSMII with BBC's and no gearboxes. Thought of running that way but I like being able to shift while the engine is running.

No it's not. That is an old inline 150 super
speedmaster lower....modified to fit that upper....
not that hard to do...I did it to
fit a TRS a long time ago....they are very hard to find however. And parts are very hard to find for them too.
