I know It probably isn't anyone of our members, BUT ...

In looking at the contents of the Photos directory, I have found inappropriate items that are not related to our website and one photo that appears to be highly illegal.

I am VERY trusting and allow everyone to post to my webserver in order to atach photos to posts. I have written some software which will now log info about everyone who posts. Any members caught abusing this feature will be banned from this website for LIFE.

My definition of misuse is uploads of illegal pornography and/or graphics uploaded for use on websites elsewhere. You can upload most anything to the Photos area as long as you are attaching it to a post on the Donzi Registry. If you have any questions please feel free ask me.

AND PLEASE,
As this site becomes more complex, I can/will make slipups in code that can cause situations we do not want. In these cases, do not post SMART ASS comments right off the bat (it took all my self control to not say the names of certain people here. :D ).

Instead let me know what the problem is and give me a chance to fix it. This Year, I am working hard to build this site to fulfill most everone's expectations/wishes. Please work with me.

I can't echo Scot's comments enough. The service provided here is unheard of. I think we all know of other places to post pics that charge money and are a pain to use.

What I really want to drive home is this stuff costs money (ie... bandwidth), not to mention all the cool things that Scot keeps adding. All those pics eat up bandwidth as many of you know well most if not all providers charge for bandwidth. And this abuse adds up in bandwidth charges which in turn takes away from the site as a whole. (I won't even get into what I have done to similar abusers that I have dealt with elsewhere)

Lastly and I will get off of my soapbox. If you see something that is "a-miss", anything. Scot I don't mean to put words in your mouth and correct me if I am wrong, but I am sure Scot would rather hear about it via email then a post to the whole board. Yeah it is cool to find a bug, and show off what you found but the issues that are caused behind the scenes can be immeasurable, not to mention expensive (see above).

If I had to sum it up in two words... Common Sense. If you have to ask whether you should or shouldn't you probably shouldn't.

You the man Scot, you run one hell of a site here and you have my utmost respect. --bverd

how difficult would it be to require us to log-in in order to upload photos... that way you could also track it and it'd keep unregistered users from uploading whatever they wanted.

just a thought... feasible? what the heck do i know?????? i'll leave it to all you bright folk! :)

Scot,
it is a shame that you even have to ask. Considering how little you ask from us and how much you give of your time, equipment, finances, patients... etc., if a member does not have enough respect for this site to not to pull crap like that, then banned for life is too good for them.

I dont know crap about bandwith or any of that stuff, but I do know that this site must be, to use technical terms, a buttload of work. Scot thanks for doing it, and everyone please let's "cooperate and graduate"!

Scot, You really are doing a great job and have a great site. Even for as computer stupid as I am (especially with Internet stuff) I was able to finally load up some photos.

I don't have much Website experience, but what I have seen is weak compared to this site. I think it is Top Shelf, Amigo...and from the other comments, from more seasoned web users I think there is no doubt.

Thanks Again ! !

What can I say...Awesom site!!!! Scot, you have done a great job and I'm not sure what I would do if I didn't have this site to go to every day (I guess I could get more work done). Please, Please, please don't abuse this site. I need my daily fix of the Registry!!!!

Scott , I am a new Donzi owner and new to this computer stuff. I have found that this is a great place to learn about Donzis. I think you have a top shelf website and I was browsing this website before I purchased my Donzi. I have learned alot from your Donzi Performance Talk and always look forward to seeing whats new. You do a great job!
