Damn straight!! A big block would do that boat a world of difference. I know a bunch of guys that took out their small blocks and installed 454's and man what a difference. A boat that wieghs 2700 lbs NEEDS horsepower, and where better to get it than cubic inches? Get the 454. Yeah, the Bravos aren't cheap, but how about selling your Alpha? I don't know where you live, but here in Florida, the outdrives business is Brisk Baby (play on words - ref the Nestea powerboat) and we can get Bravos for under a grand, with warrantees!! Go for the cubes and get a bigger gas tank!!
